I just got a plain black Oranda fish ... some advice about your care?
I do not know much except that they are large exotic goldfish. All are black with eyes dilated. I just received today, and hes in a 10 gallon aquarium in my room with a filter and gravel (stone color). Does anyone know any products for water that might be useful? I give tropical fish flakes, but not going to start eating in search of food at the bottom, so you may be sinking pellets. If there is someone out there with this type of fish, I am pleased appreciate any tips or advice, Thanks!
Care and feeding: Since they are omnivorous, the Black Moor Goldfish eat generally all kinds of fresh, frozen and flakes. To maintain a good balance give a high quality food scales every day. Feed brine shrimp (live or frozen), blood worms, daphnia, tubifex worms or as a gift. It is generally preferable to feed food lyophilized, instead of live foods to avoid parasites and bacterial infections that may be present in live food. Distribution: Goldfish Pets are distributed worldwide, but originally from China. Dimensions - Weight: Black Moor Goldfish grow about 10 centimeters (4 inches). Social Behaviors: Goldfish are very social animals and thrive in a community. Not only a great community fish, but they are important scavengers. This is really not necessary to add other scavengers or other bottom fish in the aquarium when you goldfish. Temperatures: Recommended temperatures for Goldfish is 65 ° -72 ° F (18 ° -22 ° C). Sex differences: While Goldfish is impossible to sex when they are young and not in the breeding season, males are generally smaller and thinner than the female. In season mating the male has white spines, called breeding tubercles on their gill covers and head. Seen from above the female were larger than it looks bears eggs. Water Region: Top, Middle, Bottom: These fish swim in all areas of the aquarium. Breeding / Reproduction: Black Moor Goldfish were hens that spawn easily in good conditions. See breeding freshwater fish - Goldfish for more information on breeding Goldfish
