can change the rocks of a tropical fish tank?

I have a semi aggressive tropical aquarium. I was wondering if you can change rocks. becomin my rock and begin to clear disenagrate. I have a Molly, a platy, a Corydoras, a guppy, a Angelfish, Tetra Glo pink, and Tetra. Thank you give if you meet can change the gravel, because I heard different stories. So please help me. My turn to rock sand and clogging my filter

It is a community tropical tank, not a semi aggressive, of course:) sometimes Angelfish reputation for being aggressive, but they are not, unless they are spawning and protecting eggs. Anyway, you can certainly replace rocks. Fill the bucket with water from the fish tank and put fish in it. Save water in the tank. You can leave a few centimeters of water in the tank. Take the rocks with a spoon, a network, your hands, everything works. Do not scratch the glass. Withdraw gravel moves a lot of goo, which can be removed with the siphon, but you can leave part of there. Then rinse and put new in. When you throw gravel former gravel to get rid of all the good bacteria that break down the ammonia produced by fish. If you unaware of the nitrogen cycle in google, and it is something you need to know. Many bacteria are still living in the filter cartridge, if any your fish die, but if you can get your hands on some Bio-Spira - the living, good bacteria, it is useful to put some in your tank. Note that products such as cycle or Biozyme not work - are dead bacteria and therefore completely useless. Oh, just a suggestion grouse about your grouse - are students schools, and must be in groups of 5 or more comfortable. The different types of grouse generally not school together. Consider you do a little more. Same goes for Corydoras - are also schools and you will see more activity if you have several of them.

A question on tropical fish community and aggressive?

Currently, I have much less red end (the poor ones), skirt tetras black and gold (also very bad), longfin danios, Platys tail WAG sunburst, Pepper Corydoras catfish, and a red tailed shark (labeled as semi-aggressive, but very gentle and quiet in my tank) What other fish could I go to fill my tank? I wonder specifically If I could go out with a pictus catfish, because I have no small fish. Thank you! =)

Pictus catfish is an excellent choice, are very active and non-aggressive. Its red tail sharks Frisquet can get when you type on a 5-6 "mark. Good luck.

Platy Tropical Fish

My wife and I have kept tropical fish, but we wanted to do something different. We have therefore decided to reconstruct the fireplace - a cases without typical modern real quality or style - by 7 feet long by 4 feet deep paradise for fish ... and finally, in a sanctuary of African cichlids ...

Having obtained real smart mathematician to work that the weight of the water tank was actually tolerable in our house (! - Never believe How many people do not see that, especially in apartments), we set about planning the aquarium with joy ...

The reservoir stood in blocks of ornamental stones that a local builder fixed in place. We needed to speak with a specialist provider in the reservoir tank we were building was a bit unusual - and, finally, a few weeks later, check the tank.

The first trip to the store

My excitement was extreme as we head to the local bank to obtain fragments that would be needed to begin:

• Gravel
• filter and aerator
• Illumination
• Solar --
• Cleaner (gravel VAC).

When I returned I removed the tank and checked to ensure no leakage, then began to put gravel (after washing gravel to ensure that the powder was removed). At that time, no particular need, since the water is disturbed at the first gravel added. He said one third of a tank of water and began to shape the land to the way I wanted. At this stage, I added a few water-purifiers and chlorine in the tank.

Ok then placed in the filter and aerator, and also added the element heating. All this was kept off until it ended in the tank. The remaining water is then added - and I have a tray plastic floating on the surface to ensure there was not much movement of water, which means that my country remains as I carved the wanted.

Next all the equipment was turned on and left for two days.

Who was back in the shop for two things:
• Many plants and:
• diffusion of CO2 to help plant growth

The next day, plants growing in well-ordered and my tank hot down the shop again to get my first fish.

The first fish.

Plati I love the color range is fantastic - But all carriers are living a good place to start. Mollies, swordtail, guppy or Plati are ideal for your water to zero. This bike is generally called and it is really the growth of good bacteria in the tank - which in turn by waste from the rupture. So just add a little fish the first or waste will kill the fish before the bacteria goes to work.

Five platia later and they are floating in their plastic bag on the tank surface. It was just to equalize the temperature of the water, then after a few minutes, I leave a little water tank in the bag a few occasions. Finally five appearances and their way into the tank again.

Technically, the fish waste is ammonia and must be decomposed by bacteria to nitrite, then nitrate, is what helps plants grow. This cycle must be developed in the tank if you keep fish in good healthy and happy and it usually takes about 8 weeks to resolve. Even then, my advice would be to add fish slowly til all are established.

With time and patience.

My wife and I finally decided that the cichlids Tanganyika cichlids and Malawi have been our hobby real (with some Kribs dwarf lying) and we managed to raise a few different types, including Caeruleus Labidochromis or more commonly, cichlids Canary Neolamprologus leleupi good or yellow Tanganyika. At a time when our tank is a big Splash yellow joy.

The night, now it just changes television, stick to see the aquarium - and soothe our worries ....
