maybe buy ...?
a ball python. I was at Petco the other day and I saw they had a $ 50 sale. snakes were usually $ 79.99 and has since fallen to $ 29.99. I heard that snakes are very useful Is this true? are able to eat snakes or thawed frozen mice? signs near the store Petco snakes suggests that well. anyone out there familiar with pythons ball? Do you suggest to buy one? I love reptiles and currently owns a bearded dragon and two sliders Red Earraid and tropical fish. I managed Pythons the ball in the past and seem to be very docile. are known to strike their owners? Is it necessary to remove the snake from its tank when feeding? Basically, I just want if they are really a good kind of snake ownership. Thank you for all the suggestions!
Ball pythons are great snakes for the first time. At Petco, they feed their snakes all the frozen, pre-dead (PK) of mice according to their size. Most ball pythons eat mice PK, but eventually they will eat rats PK, of course. Ball pythons are very docile temperament. They almost never attack anyone unless the person moves very quickly. If they do strike, it is usually very quick and painless. It is designed as a warning, not a fatal bite, of course. When employees feed their reptiles PETCO, are taken from their boxes and leave them with the mouse in a plastic container until you've finished eating, and wait about an hour until the snakes are put back in their box retail floor. It is preferable to too. No need to buy another box just for food, however. You can use cardboard or a plastic Tupperware box, perhaps some small prick holes in the top. Taking out of the enclosure usual snake food is an excellent idea that I recommend. Basically will not associate your hand with food when the cage is withdrawn because it feeds on another website. If you do not have a cabin for the royal python, which costs about $ 200.00 for all deliveries from Petco. This includes the good, the substrate, the box and lid with closure cap, a record-cache and other things. Personally, I have my ball python when he Petco this agreement is exactly the same last year. We bought a 55gal tank, the snake and all for about $ 220.00. There was much he could not refuse. Petco also provides care sheets ball pythons and back is a list of diseases and illnesses Contract could snake when you and instructions on how to tackle the problem. Basic information of care: the daytime temperature: 75-80 at the cold end, 85-93 at the hot end. The ambient temperature should be about 85-87. temperature during the night, the cool end 72-75, 75-80, at the end hot. Humidity: 40-60% of the substrate: Reptile cortex (retains moisture and maintains high humidity inexpensive), Aspen (one retains moisture well, but it is cheap and fine to use for your snake) Accessories: Hide registration (or the humidity box), very few branches strong for the snake to crawl on. (Ball pythons are semi-arboreal, meaning they spend part of their time when they are young trees. When they reach their adult size, they spend most of their time on the ground and do not need that many branches.) heat lamp 50-75watts depending on the size of the box is. Hope That helps.
EDIT: I highly recommend you feed the snake mouse PK. Once a snake used to eating live mice, is very, I repeat, very difficult to train you to eat PK again. I tried training my second ball python eating PK, and I can not do and was about a year since I've had. If you decide to feed your snake live food, you should keep an eye on your snake while eating and make sure the mouse or rat does not impair the snake. As stated by another user, ball pythons prefer dark places to eat in, hot, and it is very well if the snake eats the mouse PK. But I do not want to keep an eye on the snake when it eats alive. Ultimately (if the snake is good and healthy), the snake when dining in a bright environment or in a dark, closed one. Good luck again.
